Medicalanon here..foetus was used in the us back in the 1800s and early 1900s but the spelling has changed. Brits still spell it the old way. Either is fine though dropping the O is standard.

I maybe would..if it’s not too much work? People might think it’s a misspelling (not that it’s confusing, but medical terms can be tricky for some if a word doesn’t look like the term they’re used to).
