The DNC is in a really tough spot
If Bernie gets the winning delegates, but doesn't get the nomination, because they cheat him out of it, the Bernie voters will turn on them and the party may even split. 1/3 would vote for Trump out of spite, and the other 2/3 would stay home.
If Bernie gets the nomination, then Trump wins in a historic landslide.
