Computer Industry Security Best Practices dictate that it's best to avoid disclosing publicly the exact nature of any sort of security-related occurrence.

Why? Because anything you say publicly gives an attacker, or potential future attackers, more intelligence about your capabilities, your defenses, your knowledge of what they did to you, what countermeasures you employed or did not employ, etc.

So when these kinds of troubles occur, you will find security professionals taking care of it, but not explaining exactly what happened or what they knew or did.
