I was told that PHILIP had been found with a "gunshot wound to his chest." There have been conflicting reports not only from the Sheriff's Department, but false narratives in the print and electronic media, including social media sites. Regarding the tragic end of Philip Haney's life, I continue to receive calls from around the country.
The issues and events surrounding this case can not be addressed publicly at this time, however, know that when the right day and hour arrive ... you will hear the whole story.
Here is a public update: Amador Sheriff's Department has now walked back their original statement that Philip Haney "suffered a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound." Note the RETRACTION in the fourth (4th) paragraph: We are currently in the beginning phase of our investigation and any final determination as to the cause and manner of Mr. Haney’s death would be extremely premature and inappropriate. No determination will be made until all evidence is examined and analyzed.
This investigation is still active and will be ongoing.
