Negatively, because BTC is not an intrinsic store of value. Think: if there were a coronal mass ejection rendering even 50% of the world's tech incapacitated, what good would a fully electronic payment system be? (CM scenario M class would likely smoke 95%+ non-mil systemsโ€ฆ)

It's not about any "system". It's about having something than barter. Gold and other precious metals provide a mechanism to store value for exchange.

 

That's only true while we rely on monetary exchanges. In the future, we may get rid of money systems altogether and do away with false scarcity. That's probably decades awayโ€ฆ
