Nobody mentions it in any of the interviews. It's like it's not even there. It was Ash Wednesday…so is that it? I've never seen anyone on TV ever with an Ash Wednesday mark on his forehead. Maybe Steve is that devout, and the interviewers are just being polite to not mention anything? Is it a sign of something from Steve?

To add to the signifcance of the ashen mark on Scalise's forehead on Ash Wednesday, he made a very big point of tweeting out about the King Cake he delivered to Jim Jordan's office the day before for Mardi Gras.
That would have been Tuesday. Actually, Shrove Tuesday which falls on the first day of Lent, marking the six weeks of penitence before Easter.
Shrove Tuesday is also known as Mardi Gras.

A bit odd that Steve would appear in three major Fox interviews with the Ash Wednesday mark on his forehead, plain as day, and not a single person mentions it. You'd think Hannity, a Catholic, would have commended Steve's devotion or something, before continuing the interview.
A bit strange also that a Google images search calls up NOTHING regarding Steve's gesture. You'd think there's be one image of Steve's mark indexed by Google somehwere.
I wouldn't even be surprised if Steve had a chat with God that day he was gunned down. POTUS has made such a point of the fact Steve wasn't supposed to make it – that Steve had set a record for blood loss. Like Steve died and came back. Steve might be a messenger. Just a thought.
