Police K-9 makes best drug bust yet nabbing almost 600 pounds of illegal substance

A Texas police K-9 named Stryker had the bust of his career when he helped find 595 pounds worth of methamphetamine.

Officer Pat Robey of the Lewisville Police Department got a call that another agency needed an anonymous tip looked into on a suspicious trailer. Stryker went to work sniffing it out, and alerted to the presence of narcotics. After moving the trailer to a new location, the officers discovered the massive cache of drugs in a hidden compartment of the trailer.

 

The huge haul is one of the largest busts for the station, and is estimated at a street value of $1.2 million.

A communication satellite almost out of fuel has gotten a new life after the first space docking of its kind.

Northrop Grumman and Intelsat announced the successful docking nearly 22,500 miles above Earth on Wednesday. Northrop Grumman's satellite this week closed in on the aging Intelsat satellite and clamped onto it. The duo will remain attached for the next five to 10 years.
