It's not that big of a problem. I have humint everywhere. The people who know things and who have the skills and resources to know are not really that impressed by it.

It was lethal in China because of pollution and the popularity for men in China to smoke. There are quite probably some racial factors, as well. Once you know how the virus propagates and why it is deadly, it becomes immediately apparent that it's not that big of a deal for the rest of the world.

Well, California might struggle with it a bit, but an opportunity to take all the undocumented cheap labor away from the companies and identify/monitor them?

Ahead of an election?

Hard to tell who benefits more from this whole virus thing, honestly.

You ever seen the Fate series? It's interesting to see Western history through the eyes of curious eastern authors. Or… At least that is who we are told writes the plots….

One I keep returning to is the legend of King Arthur - not so much for its own mythos, but as a reminder that Briton was conquered. English … Isn't really English, either - and is something of a Frenchified or Latinized German - German being more closely related to true English than what we have been speaking. German, Slavic, and English were very closely related.

Of course, the Church morphed Europe into a superstate of feudal kingdoms - perhaps the Japanese liken it to a more grand scale Meiji Restoration.
