High grain diets contributed can contribute to weight gain and diebetes. When I studied Egyptology..one of the funniest things my professor said..was.. "when you look at the heiroglyphs of these lean fit people..you are actually looking at VOGUE of the day." In other words..when we were studying diets..they had more wight and disease appearing in mummies over certain dynasties after a high cultivation dynasty period. More grain…less fish..etc. lower life span. While I am a pescatarian myself..because of the hormonal and abuse of and process of heavier meats..they are more difficult for digestion… Our digestive tracts do NOT emulate those of carnivores in any way, I would say fish and seafood is a better fit for our digestion, along with fruits, plants and nuts. Meat should not be the main sustenance….eating parts of an animal can be dangerous..even if a tiny piece of the thyroid is not thoroughly and properly cut out..can be deadly.
