The prohibition of Cannabis is criminal!
Just like with alcohol, the prohibition has enriched the interests of unscrupulous mobsters (+pharmaceutical, cartels and prison industrial police state) and robbed good hard working Americans from a bountiful plant source to help them enrich their lives.
Our founding fathers grew hemp for fiber and promoted it as a resource to help build greater American autonomy. The holy anointing oil in the Bible contained Kaneh-Bosom, long mis-translated as the plant Calamus, the linguistic relationship between Kaneh-Bosom & Cannabis is fairly clear. Priests of the old testament used to anoint their bodies with the oil before entering the holiest of holies and communing with god. Christ comes from the word meaning "The Anointed".
