Itโ€™s all nothing, nothing

but I found out what went on

Iโ€™ll bring it back, but it won't be easy

they won't believe the man he could -

But Iโ€™d choose starseed over

Nothing, nothing, nothing

'Drag Race' stars slam Republican attempts to ban drag queen library events

On Monday afternoon, nearly 100 kindergarten students crowded into the Tompkins Square Library in New York Cityโ€™s trendy East Village neighborhood as two glamorous drag queens read them childrenโ€™s books during a Drag Queen Story Hour event.

Jackie Cox and Jan โ€” two contestants from the upcoming season of VH1โ€™s hit show โ€œRuPaulโ€™s Drag Raceโ€ โ€” fielded questions such as โ€œAre you a boy or a girl?โ€ and โ€œWhy does your voice sound like that?โ€ with a smile, all while serving looks and an important lesson about how fabulousness comes in all different forms.

โ€œI think that itโ€™s good to get kids at a young age to realize that everyone is different, and as long as youโ€™re not hurting or harming anyone, we can all get along in this world,โ€ Jan, 26, told NBC News.

Jan, whose real name is Charlie Mantione, said a big misconception about drag is that itโ€™s just about nightlife.

โ€œAt its core, itโ€™s entertainment,โ€ she said. โ€œWe obviously have things we do in our nightlife act that might not be suitable for kids, but we also can come here and read stories to kids and connect with them.โ€

Huge fire breaks out near Gare de Lyon train station in Paris

PARIS โ€” A fire has broken out near the Gare de Lyon train station in Paris, one the six major stations in the French capital.

Police in the Bercy neighborhood tweeted that cars were set alight along the sidewalk by people attending a concert at the AccorHotels Arena.

The fire is of criminal origin and results from "unacceptable abuses committed on the margins of a concert," it said.

Singer Fally Ipupa, a star in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was set to perform later.

David Aspinall obituary

My father, David Aspinall, who has died aged 86, was one of a small group of researchers who founded the field of computer science in the UK. As an engineering research student he was involved in building the Manchester University Atlas computer which, when it was switched on in 1962, was the fastest in the world.

In 1970, David moved to University College Swansea to become professor of electrical engineering and create a new course, a BSc in computer technology, based on the model designed by his boss Tom Kilburn whose computer science department at Manchester University was the first of its kind in the UK. These people were the pioneers of the new academic and educational field of โ€œcomputer scienceโ€.

David was born in Cleveleys, Lancashire, the son of Hilda (nee Whittle), who had worked in the weaving sheds of Blackburn before her marriage, and William Aspinall, a civil servant. He attended King Edward VII school, Lytham, before going to Manchester University to read physics. On graduating he was awarded a scholarship to conduct postgraduate research in the new computer laboratory in the electrical engineering department at Manchester.
