I don't think Comey's intentions were honorable or selfless. Supposedly, Comey was worried that voters would think he threw the election in Trump's favor. Well, did he forget that he and the rest of the swamp had been setting it up for years in the Clinton's favor, and thus against Trump or anyone else running against her?

 

Comey acted because he was forced to appear somewhat impartial, largely to save his own ass. Nothing about the Hillary email investigation followed standard investigative protocol. They weren't going to charge her, and they designed an investigation to support that decision.

 

Had it not been for Weiner's laptop, Comey would have successfully fixed another one for the Clintons, and I'm sure he had dollar signs of anticipation in his eyes.
