Ranitidine is NOT the component that helps with SARS. It's the Bismuth salicylate part (an aspirin like compound in Pepto Bismol and Kaopectate).

So don't worry that they pulled a pepto-zantac product along with all the zantac and generics. You can still get bismuth OTC.
