I'm trying not to be such a cynic but I have to wonder why a megachurch suddenly decides to give away 46 million. They didn't make that overnight and most of the money would be tied up in investments and whatever. Unless they had to sell their assets and give it back to the people. Nice gesture.
I wonder if the $460,000 pay out cleared their conscience. Sure makes a nice story to imply they actually paid 46 million instead of a fraction of it.
