Understandably, POTUS is successfully following his agenda, which resets much of our foreign and domestic policy for the better of us all. Diplomacy, by its very nature, must emphasize somethings while putting other, perhaps uncomfy things, aside.
The President’s trip to India was a roaring success. They are allies and worthy competitors.
POTUS is dealing with China in the best way possible. They are enemies and rotten competitors.
I don’t disparage DJT’s actions with either, on the stage he’s on. But for those of us who care about our family in Christ, we still have much to pray for. Persecution in India and China have never been worse.
Consider Section 153-A of India’s Penal Code. It makes it a crime to promote “disharmony or feelings of enmity, hatred or ill-will between different religious, racial, language or regional groups or castes or communities.” Much of the violent opposition to Christianity in India uses this as a justification. The Indian party RSS, which strongly backs their prime minister, uses this.
In China, the situation is just getting crazier. Xi is president for life, read: dictator/tyrant. In 2018, the Chinese State Admin of Religious Affairs and the CPC issued new regs for churches, what they call the Sinicization of Christianity. Xi’s pic in front of church altars, a rewrite of the Bible to incorporate socialist dogma.
Just saying, please pray for these folks. Q+’s work on the grand scale progresses. But people still suffer tremendous persecution.
My sauce is the materials I receive from various Christian missionary agencies. But there is much on the web about it too.
