Contributing to peak colds and virus during winter months are the candy holidays. October=Halloween, November=Thanksgiving, not so much candy but pies and desserts, December=Christmas/Hannukah/etc, February=Valentines Day, April=Easter.

Sugar hampers the immune system and there is a lot of ritualized sugar consumption during the winter months.

It came clear to me when reading the statement by the governor of WA, after ONE death, that we have declared a state of emergency so we can get the resources we need.

What? Resources for 1 death? Hmmm, gov, what you need them resources for anyway?
