There is a tendency to forget and/or feel strongly that this focus is needed now as opposed to any other. We all backslide into old or unhelpful habits/patterns sometimes, and yes, kind people can remind us and nudge us back to the method that works better.

The absolutely HAVE to have Biden, as he is the shield protecting them from public examination of their pervasive corruption.
They have no choice but to fuck over Bernie, but when they do, they alienate that large and motivated voter base and make enemies of them, who will resort to violent lashing out, showing the country the true, dangerous face of the entire socialism infection.
It will also show the moderate Ds and Independents how crooked and undemocratic the D party is, which will peel away more support.
As more information comes out about just how corrupt the 'system' [deep state] really is, even more support falls away.
Biden vs Trump debate is going to be both brutal and pitiful, and it will actually make it more difficult for anyone to support D party.
