>Ah, that would be Sanibel Island, Fla.
Sanibel is a GREAT place, incredible beach, wonderful place to visit
I couldn't even believe all the shells on that beach when I was standing on it looking at them.
Great beach bars, can amble over to the bar barefooted, then plop down in a beach chair under a palm tree and watch the waves roll in.
The local grocery/liquor store is damn incredible, and has its own pair of pet parrots in an aviary outside to squawk a greeting at customers.
That said, it was quite literally founded by post-WWII spooks. No doubt plenty of retired Farm boys and gals there, with more in nearby and more high-end Naples.
Plenty of info out there about Sanibel.
I had a great time there and would really love to go back.
The airport for it is Southwest Florida Int'l, in Fort Myers.
Man, I love that part of Florida. Totally different from the Panhandle, which I also love for its more southern, laid-back vibe.
