Why do people die from the flu ? pneumonia type flu ?

Here is my experience.

Fall of 2018 I got the respiratory flu and as it ran its course

after a week of stopped up sinus, sore throat, and dehydration

it began to clear up

meaning lots of nose blowing and coughing up phlegm

but

when it seemed it was ready to be overcome and done

it gave a last stand

and my throat closed up similar to an asthma attack

I couldn't breathe enough to cough up the thick phlegm

and

honest to God I would have died that night

if it hadn't been for an old broncho-dialator machine

that I had acquired second hand

intact with some tubes of Albuterol.

As it happens

I got the flu again this year.

Same series of symptoms occurred.

Right when it all seemed to be cleared up

it hit one last time

and my throat closed up like in an asthma attack.

I had my old broncho-dialator machine ready just in case.

And it saved my life again.

And so I would suggest

that doctors look at these patterns

and prepare their patients with Albuterol

and even a machine

until they fully recover from the flu.

Who knows how many lives it would save.

All true.
