Saw your discussion on LOBO callsign last bread and thought I'd pitch in a small dig on it. See attached.

Anyone want to nom this for Notable?

Hate to ask and I loathe self-nomming, but I found this military ship/aircraft callsign list and it looks like it might help out if the Planefags/Boatfags could see it in Notables, so it will roll on instead of getting lost in the shuffle.

For context, the list includes homebases, so that might also help narrow down who's using the callsign when multiple units use it (or by aircraft type, which also is indicated in the list)

It's 2 years old, but WTF? Hope it helps

Fair enough.

It is a list of US Military (as well as NASA and selected Fed law enforcement) aircraft, ship and installation callsigns. It matters because callsigns like "LOBO32" are frequently seen on ASDB and other apps the Planefags use, and they like to ID those aircraft as best they can when they make reports.

That's why I think that list is important. I said it's 2 years old, but when I looked at the doc it indicated it was compiled December 2019 so I misread it. It's only 3 months old.

Tryna help the Planefags and Boatfags out. Wanna nom this?
