Video clips showing an Asian man wearing hospital mask passed out on the sidewalk in the Flushing section of Queens, New York City Tuesday afternoon were posted to Twitter, raising concerns about the coronavirus as the videos look like those from the original coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, China that went viral in January and early February. Flushing is home to a large Asian community. The man, who was attended to by an ambulance team, was seen to be conscious after passing out and reportedly did not exhibit symptoms of the virus.

Parents of autistic boy denied communion say church portrayed them 'as liars'

'They're just trying to backpedal because of all the backlash they got'

A New Jersey couple who said their 8-year-old son was denied First Communion because he is autistic says they have been inaccurately portrayed by the church that refused the sacrament.

"To add to our devastation we are being painted not as the special needs parents advocating for our child, but instead as liars," Jimmy LaCugna wrote in a Facebook post on Friday.

SCOTUS: States Can Prosecute Illegal Aliens for Stealing American IDs

States have the authority to prosecute illegal aliens for using stolen identities of American citizens to work illegally in the United States, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday.

In a 5-4 decision — with liberal Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan dissenting — the Supreme Court ruled against three illegal aliens who were prosecuted for stealing the identities of American citizens to work illegally in the state of Kansas.

Trump campaign files suit against WaPo for ‘false and defamatory’ collusion claims in opinion pieces

President Donald Trump's re-election campaign filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the Washington Post, claiming that the national newspaper knowingly published false and defamatory claims in two opinion pieces that came out in June 2019.

The eight-page lawsuit, which was filed in D.C. District Court, points to June 13 post written by Greg Sargent, titled, "Trump just invited another Russian attack. Illinois board recommends Rod Blagojevich be stripped of law license

An Illinois commission has recommended that former Gov. Rod Blagojevich lose his law license over his corrupt dealings while in office.

Attorneys with the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission argued in front of the body last week to recommend stripping Blagojevich of his law license. The Democratic ex-governor was recently released from prison after President Trump commuted Blagojevich’s sentence eight years into a 14-year incarceration.

The fake news started spreading early Tuesday morning as voters trickled into the polls and trolls, laughing at the prospect of suppressing turnout among supporters of former Vice President Joe Biden, put on their public service announcement voices and tweeted out phoney public health news related to Tuesday’s primary.

"Reminder: to prevent overcrowding at the polls that could spread coronavirus, if you live in any of the states and want to vote for BERNIE, you need to vote today (3/3). If you want to vote for BIDEN, you voting day is tomorrow (3/4)" one account tweeted early Tuesday,” one account wrote in a now-deleted tweet featuring a map of Super Tuesday states.

Not what I signed up for': GOP convert Jeff Van Drew says other centrist Democrats ready to defect

Republican Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who recently defected from the Democratic Party, said other centrist Democrats would join the GOP out of fear that independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders would become the presidential nominee.

During an interview with Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner, Van Drew said other Democrats were considering joining the Republican Party because they fear the "down-ballot effect" of Sanders being nominated for president.

"When it does go well, I do believe there will be other people that will think the same way. There are some good moderate Democrats on the other side, and I really believe they belong on the Republican side,” he said. “It’s becoming more of a socialist party, and that is not what I signed up for."

CE arrests illegal immigrant accused of raping Brooklyn teen after city cut him loose

An illegal immigrant accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in Brooklyn was cut loose thanks to New York’s “sanctuary city” policy and the Brooklyn District Attorney — despite a request by immigration officials that he be detained.

Guatemalan national Miguel Federico Ajqui-Ajtzalam, 20, was arraigned Friday on a 20-count criminal complaint for allegedly raping the girl five times in 2018.

But Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez’s office didn’t ask the judge to set bail, and Criminal Court Judge Hilary Gingold agreed to let him go on supervised release.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement had issued a detainer asking the city to nevertheless keep Ajqui-Ajtzalam in custody because he is in the country illegally, but said the Big Apple did not comply due to its “sanctuary city” status.
