Exactly.
The dialog between Christianity and Islam goes like this:
Islam says: Submit!
Christianity says: It is cruel and unjustified and hostile to demand submission. Love is sufficient to achieve goodwill and cooperation.
And Christianity is right, but the Muslims think there's a cruel god who will torture them forever if they don't rigidly stick to their rules.
But the hidden gem inside Islam is that Allah must be praised and said to be wise and good, so Muslims can be coerced to do the right thing by forcing them to acknowledge that that's what Allah wants them to do, because they're not allowed to admit that they secretly believe Allah is a cruel torturer.
So Christianity will moderate Islam and the demand for submission will be turned into a demand to do what is right, and Christians have no objection to that.
