RC Sproul once delivered a lecture, and he asked the question: “Saved from what?” That was his title, and so, people thought, “O my, RC’s going to tell us what we already know. Saved from sin.” He said “That’s not it. You’re not saved from sin. You might be, but that's not the point.” “Well, we’re saved from hell.” “Well, perhaps that’s so, but that's not the point.” He says, “Do you know what you're saved from? You’re saved from God.” Think about it. Where would you be without Christ in front of God?
