Many thanks for giving Livy's "History of Rome" a long-overdue public airing in the sunlight!

How many decades has it been since classical literature and/or languages have been taught in schools? They were discarded as if they had nothing to offer, although the wisdom in them is perpetually relevant.

Thanks again, anon, for the reminder that there is a great deal of revision needed in school curricula. At the moment, it's pretty worthless.

On another topic altogether, I haven't been able to spend much time here the last several days. Has COVID-19 made any noticeable difference in the shill level? I recall seeing that Chinese IT "labs" had been hit hard by it. Just noticed a significantly stronger Captcha, so it may well be that CodeMonkey has tied a stronger knot recently.

The three men who were killed in a plane that crashed in Georgia after taking off from Columbia Metropolitan Airport Tuesday have been identified.

The pilot and passengers on board the small plane were businessmen from Texas, Oconee County Coroner Ed Carson told The State Wednesday.

Carson said his office is still working on positively identifying all three, and is using dental records to help the process.

Without publicly releasing their names, the coroner’s office confirmed the men were from Texas. They were in Columbia looking at a potential real estate development, Carson said.

“Our hearts go out to the families of those involved. Each family was extremely gracious and understanding of the situation at hand,” the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

The crash is being investigated by Federal Aviation Administration, and their officials are on the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

The crash happened around 4:30 p.m. in a heavily wooded area, according to the sheriff’s office. Oconee County is about 170 miles west of Columbia, just outside of Athens.

Officials found the small plane engulfed in flames. Local emergency personnel attempted to rescue passengers but were unable to because of the fire and damage to the aircraft, according to the sheriff’s office.

Other than the three occupants of the plane, no injuries were reported in the crash, as the sheriff’s office said no one on the ground was hurt.

Kim Jamieson, a spokesperson for Columbia Metropolitan Airport, confirmed the plane took off from the Columbia airport around 3 or 3:15 p.m., about an hour and a half before the crash.

The plane’s intended destination was Tuscaloosa National Airport in Alabama, Carson said.

The plane was a Piper PA-46, a propeller-nosed, single-engine aircraft that can carry up to five passengers and a pilot, Atlanta TV news station 11 Alive reported.

One witness who lives in the area, Andrew Brislin, said the plane was “going around, spinning around in a circle,” CBS46 reported.

Law enforcement said they were not immediately aware of any calls for distress, but the investigation is ongoing.

Information on what caused the plane to crash was not immediately available, but the sheriff’s office was not ruling out a weather-related issue.

“I don’t know (if weather was a factor), I don’t want to speculate as to what the cause of the plane coming down was. But we have had some significant weather in the county this afternoon,” sheriff’s office spokesman Capt. James Hale said during the news briefing.

This is a developing story, check back for updates.

Did crossover "employees" with ties to both FBI and CIA supervise this travesty of justice? This reeks of having been an official, clandestine operation. Both agencies are dripping with corruption and traitors.

Strzok and Page weren't the only ones.

Fuck Chi Psi, even if it was three Alpha Grab-a-Hoes who did this. Was an initiated member at UGA and they can go straight to Donna Brazille hell. I was young and stupid, and those assholes made me climb a flight of stairs strewn with rock salt on my knees, and I had to lie in a closed casket for what seemed like forever. The Chi Psi national org sends me junk mail begging for "donations" to this day, and I'm 60! Hey Chi Psi, do all your chapter houses still have "secret rooms"?

Look at the mug shot on these wastes of oxygen in pic related.

Police have charged three University of Georgia fraternity members after a skinned coyote carcass, several raccoon heads and other grisly animal remains were left on the front porch of a rival fraternity house last month.

Brothers Carson Smith, 19, and Jackson Smith, 20, were arrested on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and cited for improper disposal of a carcass. Conner Dunahoo, 19, was cited for improper disposal.

The three are accused of driving the animal parts to the Chi Psi fraternity house the night of Feb. 6 and leaving them on the front porch, where they were discovered the next morning.

A skinned canine, which a state game warden later determined to be a coyote, was found along with three skinned raccoon heads, according to police. Two dead rats, several pairs of raccoon feet and a “variety of entrails” were also left on the porch as well as multiple bloody latex gloves.Athens-Clarke County animal control was called in to collect the carcasses and other materials.

According to a police report obtained Wednesday by AJC.com, the animals were skinned in the parking lot of the Alpha Gamma Rho house days before they were dumped.A cook working at the Alpha Gamma Rho house saw a group gathered on Feb. 3 “drinking, yelling and shouting as one of the brothers started to skin the pelt from a coyote carcass,” he described to police. Disturbed, the cook told police he went back inside the house. In the days that followed, he told police that he saw other carcasses and animal pieces around a metal pole in the parking lot, which another fraternity member described as a “skinning rack.” Investigators said an older member of the frat planted the idea for the prank in the younger brothers’ heads, saying “it would be funny” if someone threw the dead animals on the porch of another fraternity house. Carson Smith, Jackson Smith and Dunahoo admitted to dumping the animal parts when they were interviewed by police, according to the report. Carson Smith reportedly told investigators it was common for fraternities to play pranks on each other. The Smith brothers were arrested last Wednesday and released on $1,500 bond. Police told the Red & Black, UGA’s student newspaper, that none of the suspects were charged with animal cruelty because the animals were legally hunted and harvested.Drew Marshall, president of the UGA chapter of Chi Psi, thanked police for their work and said, “Hopefully the matter is resolved and we won’t have to deal with anything like this again.”In response, Marshall said a portion of the proceeds from his fraternity’s upcoming philanthropy event will be donated to the Athens Area Humane Society.

The Dem ticket is definitely going to be Biden/Clinton.

Biden will be happy to play along for the cash payoff, and the Hillary Machine will actually be "President". Biden won't be able to have a cup of coffee without their approval.
