I've been digging on the Piedmont connection.
The Piedmont Italian Club in Darien just turned 100 years old. Members celebrated at their monthly dinner last night.
Norwalk state Sen. Bob Duff and Sen. Richard Blumenthal also stopped by to congratulate them. The Piedmont Club gives out scholarships and sponsors youth sports, among other charitable efforts.
Organizers say they're proud to reach the 100-year mark, and hope to keep going strong for years to come.
