The work of scribes can involve copying manuscripts and other texts as well as secretarial and administrative duties such as the taking of dictation and keeping of business, judicial, and historical records for kings, nobles, temples, and cities. The profession has developed into public servants, journalists, accountants, bookkeepers, typists, and lawyers. Serious question. WHY does the, "health care," industry believe that we need or want managing? Isn't deciding whether or not to get health insurance up to an individual and don't we generally only want it in case we get sick to help pay the bills? I can't think of anybody ever telling me they get health insurance so that they can inject themselves into every aspect of our lives and, "manage," us.
