I'm attempting to squirm in a way to talk to all the friends I have who have had to deal with sexual abuse in their family.
Trying to give them an easy heads-up about what's coming. Most abused people suppress these memories. Few really work through them. Especially if no justice ever ensued.
If all this does break wide open, that will be the time for previously abused folks to reach out.
But: THEY'VE GOT TO HAVE JUSTICE.
Nothing replaces that. We can forgive, but abusers have to be held accountable to the law and society. And removed.
If the dems have no viable candidate, because they're all residents of Gitmo, could the entire election be postponed or cancelled?
