Here is the daily update for coronavirus cases outside of mainland China. I've been here since the beginning guys, and I think dismissing this as just a ploy to hurt POTUS is a big mistake in messaging. This virus was most likely an escapee from the lab in Wuhan.

Yes, I realize the uniparty and MSM are desperate to pin this on POTUS and I want no part of that or inciting panic. But here's the thing, this virus is real and is spreading rapidly in the US. Hiding your head in the sand will not win the messaging war or help POTUS.

The way I see it, the messaging should be something along the lines of: This virus is really contagious and originated in China. It is not President Trump's virus. All containment efforts have failed and wrecking our economy by panicking is not necessary. 80% will only have mild symptoms. Your best defense is still not touching your face and wash your hands frequently, as this is how most cases are acquired.

The flu and this virus are not mutually exclusive. The Case Fatality Rate from this coronavirus will be added to the seasonal flu. If we look at the 2009 swine flue epidemic in the US for comparison it gets interesting. Approximately 60 million Americans were infected with the swine flu…with a death rate of .1%.

The WHO said yesterday that this virus has a Case Fatality Rate overall of 3.4%…but I keep seeing 1% for the USA. If 60 million American are infected with this, that would equal 600,000 dead Americans within the next 6-8 months.

Point being: The it's just a flu bro, designed to hurt POTUS' re-election sounds crazy and simple-minded. The facts are that this is China's virus and POTUS acted swiftly to minimize the effects, and every American has a personal responsibility to practice good personal hygiene and public hygiene to minimize the effects. That is where the messaging needs to be IMO.

Like I said…80% will only experience mild symptoms. But if the Case Fatality Rate approaches 1%, that is a whole lot of American bodies. 10x worse than seasonal flu. My goal is not to create panic…I am just trying to make the point that outright dismissal is probably not the best avenue at this point.

Community spread is here in the US now, and the numbers are likely to explode shortly. Again, we want to win the messaging war…and outright dismissal is a losing proposition because every homeless drug addict that drops dead due to coronavirus will be pinned on POTUS. California will be biblical.

Again, this is China's virus and POTUS moved quickly to mitigate the effects. We are all responsible for our own health and must practice good public and personal hygiene.

Very true anon…I am in favor of limited testing for this very reason. At this point it just looks like a really bad flu season, because containment doesn't work, this shit is too contagious. But when people start falling out in the street or when all of the new test kits start coming back positive, there needs to be a good plan for getting out in front of the narrative.

I'm awake, but we still have to be at the forefront of the messaging war on China's virus that is spreading in our communities. That's our job.
