Heat death of the observable universe will occur in about a quadrillion years. If we end up building divergent torture AI that automatically procreates human apes into perpetual torture devices in an exponential nature, the designer of the universe (God) was smart enough to allow the universe to eventually be destroyed. So Hell, in the worst case, should last about some number of trillion years.

Ya sick fuck. This comic probably sits on Elon Musk's desk, as a reminder about the dangers of AI.

Imagine the same scenario but with AI figuring out immortality.

If you burn for a trillion years, it's not even the beginning of eternity. If you burn for a trillion to the trillionth power to the trillionth power years, it's still not eternity. If you burn for that number to itself over and over raised to itself that many times (incomprehensibly large number) it's still not even the BEGINNING of eternity.

If you burn for that number, to itself a trillion times, then do that a trillion more times (an incomprehensibly large number), you'd still be at the START of your eternal torture punishment.

Any large non infinite number you can dream up, doesn't even being to make a DENT into eternity.

Burning in hell for eternity means you are taking on the punishment for ALL SIN of ALL MAN who have EVER LIVED since the BIG BANG and will ever live from now until the heat death of the universe.

There's no notion of 'infinity' in the observable universe. Eternity/infinity are math concepts.
