Well..the military pic is flipped (the name tag is mirror Image) but the other pic I think appears to be correct, so the boot would be on the same foot (his other foot).
Iirc, his blue shirt has the buttons on the typical side. A typical right handed man using dominant hand to button, so buttons sewn on the shirt’s right side.
