I just went down a rabbit hole and it turned up some interesting connections concerning the Dutch.

I've posted previously about the Dutch West India Company>British East India company

Committee of 300. (Ownership remains the same just rebranded)

The Hapsburg line was dutch too. I hadn't made the connection on this.

Today I found a new website on the Dutch and their history and influence in the New World. Apparently not so new. They settled a decade before the Plymouth. Their sole purpose was trade but they needed workers. They allowed immigration BUT they had to live under Dutch rule. They could practice their own religions but only privately.

The list of Dutch/Americans is a who's who including some very prominent names.

Vanderbilts

Roosevelts

Tom Brokaw

Walter Cronkite

Dewitt Clinton

James Van Allen

Kuyper

The list goes on and on.

Lots of interesting history and prominent names. Logo has a nice owl reference.

So I found the Owl. Here's some thoughts on the Y. Joseph Smith, of Mormon fame according to in Wiki.

Modern DNA testing of Smith's relatives suggests that his family were of Irish descent, as he carried a rare Y-DNA marker within Haplogroup R1b which is found almost entirely in people of Northwestern Irish descent. Also found in those of Dutch descent.

And a final tidbit…

Most future waves of Dutch immigrants were quickly assimilated. There have been five American presidents of Dutch descent: Martin Van Buren (8th, first president who was not of British descent, first language was Dutch), Franklin D. Roosevelt (32nd, elected to four terms in office, he served from 1933 to 1945, the only U.S. president to have served more than two terms), Theodore Roosevelt (26th), as well as George H. W. Bush (41st) and George W. Bush (43rd), the latter two descendant from the Schuyler family.

I actually have. I was wondering if the Dutch were the ones that built the Starforts. New Amsterdam (ie NYC) was a starfort. Clinton castle in NYC sits on the location now. They are very prevalent in the Netherlands and are heavily associated with water and canals. The Dutch were very good at controlling water.
