A single person can do this with general ease and moderate desire.
There are a lot of Christians on this board, so to get an efficient slide going, you will see the initial challenge to a commonly known/accepted "truth" among Christians. Simple-minded people will take the bait and from there, you have them "hooked." They're yours to direct at that point because you control the flow of information. They are following your lead.
This can be done for good as well as nefarious purpose. There is no set "good" vs "evil" on earth but everyone loves to believe there is. Just get whomever you wish to convince to believe you are "good" or what they are doing is pure "evil" and they will be sufficiently baited and able to be walked to whatever "truth" you direct them to.
People are not autonomous, their is a link that drives us all. In times past, this was referred to as the Aether, I thought of it as collective consciousness before I realized there was a study dedicated to it. "You are the news now" has much more meaning than many can understand. I'm not convinced this is a good thing.
