If I had it to do over again, I would def join the military, get an education and go from there.
I can tell you from experience, farming is not for everyone. It is a way of life, not just a job. If you have animals its 24/7/365. Now if you grain farm, all together different. The farming community is very family and God oriented as well. Great place to raise children!!!
Both of our children stayed on the farm and are working there daily. You seem to have had a very bad experience of farm life. Im sorry you had such a bad experience. Yes its hard work, but it is also very rewarding.

Good to hear! Our daughter left the farm, but returned and now runs the chicken houses. Son never left , he tends the cattle and crops with his dad. Two grandchildren, but they are too young yet.
