I was listening to Joe Satriani the other day, and got lost in "Dream Song", then it hit me. The question I have, is, which artists are going to make it through this awakening?
What's really going to bake your noodle later on, is when you realize the "virus" isn't what's taking these folks out.
I hope that a few of these musicians make it. I got to thinking about SRV the other day, and I'm nearly 100% certain he's clean. He had his bout with drugs, but I don't think he ever… you know. That's why he's no longer with us.
Stay focused on the important things in life. Be the leader of your path. Seek God in all you do. Learn when to put down the electronics, and enjoy the world that God has given us. Be a good steward. Always do charitable acts in anonymity. Bad habits don't become bad habits if you never start them.
Most importantly:
If you fail, backslide, stumble, dust off, repent, and MOVE ON AND KEEP DOING BETTER. Do not let the enemy remind you of the past, and keep you down. Keep pressing forward.
