I'm thinking hanging is the way to go. It's neat, clean, fast and cheap. No cleanup costs. Certain death when you get the math right.
I understand the desire to see your enemies bleed, but hanging will be less likely to upset the sheep. The unending sight of blood and gore will undoubtedly eventually cause a backlash. We don't want to have to cut the final work short because of melting snowflakes.
The cabal and minions will suffer enough agony, as while they wait for their execution day, they contemplate their final moment. The anticipation of the drop will give them nightmares.
