UPDATE: Las Vegas police on Wednesday said that detectives from the Sexual Assault Juvenile team have conducted a preliminary investigation into the viral Facebook post.

Detectives conducted interviews with the family involved and no criminal charges are anticipated, Las Vegas police said in an emailed statement.

"We ask the public to disregard the false Facebook post which has delivered mis-information," Las Vegas police said in the emailed statement.
