PB anon mentioned Q's phrase was posted 9 times and the tweet was missing the i. Maybe a reference to i9 forms, the employment eligibility verification program designed to verify you're a legal lawful resident eligible for employment?

As a small business owner, I have filled them out myself dozens of times and as far as I can tell there is no true verification, they are leaving it up the employer to determine if documents being presented are legit. WTF do I know if a document being presented to me is real or not? Seems like an easy system to abuse.

If Scavino's tweet and the missing i and Q posting Nothing can stop what is coming 9 times is a reference to the i-9 Employment Eligibility Verification program I can tell you as an employer this is not a true verification program. It asks employers to fill out a form with the employee providing two forms of ID and to sign under penalty of perjury that everything they wrote is true. But there is no actual verification done through any government agency. It's up to the employer to look at the ID's and determine if it's legit. When you go to the government website and look at the "where to submit tab" the answer is:

Do not file Form I-9 with USCIS or U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Employers must:

Have a completed Form I-9 on file for each person on their payroll who is required to complete the form;

Retain and store Forms I-9 for three years after the date of hire, or for one year after employment is terminated, whichever is later; and

Make their forms available for inspection if requested by authorized U.S. government officials from the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Labor, or Department of Justice.

In my 13 years of business I have never once had any government official ever ask to inspect these documents. No idea if it's relevant, but it does seem ripe for fraud and abuse. Needs to be changed, these forms should be submitted and cross referenced by an actual government agency to truly verify eligibility. Why even have the program in place? It doesn't make any sense to me.
