Prince Andrew is apparently continuing to refuse cooperation in the investigation into possible co-conspirators of accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. While speaking to reporters in New York Monday, officials said Andrew would not submit voluntarily to an interview with the FBI.

This came after U.S. attorney Geoffrey Berman in January said the royal had, so far, offered zero cooperation in the case. During a press conference, Berman again cited that in November the Prince offered to help any law enforcement agency with their investigations if required.

“Contrary to Prince Andrew’s very public offer to cooperate with our investigation into Epstein’s co-conspirators, an offer that was conveyed via press release, Prince Andrew has now completely shut the door on voluntary cooperation and our office is considering its options,” stated the attorney.

A spokesman for Berman would not comment on what those options could be, but officials have maintained Epstein could not have done what he did without help from others and they want to find out who those people are.

Spokespersons for Andrew and the British royal family have declined to comment on the matter. Prince Andrew stepped down from public duties at Buckingham Palace in November after his ties to Epstein came under scrutiny.

An alleged survivor of Epstein’s alleged sex-trafficking operation has claimed Epstein forced her to have sex with the Prince when she was 17-years-old. The royal has continued to deny the allegations.

While awaiting trial in August, Epstein was found dead in his New York jail cell. His death was later ruled a suicide.
