POTUS is talking about tax cuts and incentives to allegedly help the working class deal with the WuFlu

If he truly wants to endear himself to the Deplorables and demonstrate that he is on THEIR side, he would declare a Force Majeur and immediately suspend payments for rent, mortgage, car loans, student loans, credit cards.

It would not be a "Debt Jubilee", but a "hold" so that the working class, who will be the greatest financially hit if lockdowns/quarantines etc are put in to place, don't lose everything - which is what the Deep State wants. In past "financial crisis", the banking class has let the Deplorables go under while then swooping in to buy assets for pennies on the dollars. Generational theft. POTUS needs to ensure it doesn't happen again.

INTEREST on payments would be forfeited by the lien holder. Since the majority of lien holders are the 1% of the 1%, this small hit to their bottom line is a perfect example of "shared pain".

PRINCIPAL payments would be suspended until say June 1st or July 1st (depending on how things go) and would just restart at principal balance owing as of the date of the declaration of Force Majeur. Everyone's repayment schedule/pay off date would simply be extended 90 - 120 days. No biggie, in comparison to the financial class holding a gun to the paycheck to paycheck crowd.

In summary:

No Debt Jubilee or total forgiveness

Declaration of Force Majeur

Any interest payments are forfeit by the lien holder during Force Majeur

Any principal payments are suspended until the end of Force Majeur

Lien payoff dates would simply be rolled forward to the number of days the Force Majeur was in effect

This would help save the Deplorables.

This is shared pain.

It is overdue for the HAVES to share the pain/cost that they have historically exploited the HAVENOTS for during past crisis.
