If food prices are high due to high cost of oil, that doesn't mean the farmers are getting any more money. probably less, because often they cannot pass all their increased costs to the market. They have to let some of that cast bite into their own profts.

 

Lower costs of energy can certainly mean higher profit margins to farmers.
