Mission and Vision:
Our mission is to transform young adults into philanthropic investors. The Fast Forward Fund mobilizes this generation’s financial resources, passion, energy, and drive to advance global sustainability and human dignity.
The vision and promise of the Fast Forward Fund is a new generation of young social investors, shaping the global agenda of our time, investing in a vibrant, sustainable future.
core beliefs driving social change:
• Investment activism. We all make a difference with our daily financial choices.
• Leveraged impact. Investing in a collective social fund allows young people to leverage relatively small individual resources into large-scale impact.
• Accelerated change. More inclusive, expansive philanthropic models enable youth to accelerate, or fast forward, their participation as social investors advancing innovative solutions to global challenges.
• Lifelong Giving. Cultivating philanthropic social investment among young adults creates lifelong givers and engaged global citizens.
Action and Portfolio pages appear to promote alleviating poverty and promoting public health thru “philanthropic investment”. Everything written is very vague and merely sounds wonderful, no substance on the website.
Leadership Page
The Fast Forward Fund was led through its pilot year by an international network of students, guided by its founding Board of professional mentors. Youth directors were drawn from students through the Bard Globalization & International Affairs (BGIA) Program, a semester-intensive immersion in NYC. FFF was independently incorporated summer 2008; launched at a press conference with President Clinton featuring FFF as an outstanding commitment of the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) in February 2009. Its fiscal sponsor, The Fund for the City of New York (FCNY), provides fiscal, personnel, and administrative management services for FFF through the FCNY Incubator Program.
One of the founding members and president was Diana Ayton-Shenker
Using chrome browser, the FFF home page forwarded after 10 seconds to Shenker’s current website, Global Momenta. Also, search of the name “Global Momenta” name gave a different site that virus protection annotated as unsafe, “Momenta Global”. If digging, ensure the correct name, Global Momenta.
