Agreed. But especially with Abe. He is likely a globalist, certainly tied to deep state through his lineage.

The concern about the abducted Japanese is a minor issue compared to what Trump is doing. He may try to sabotage the summit over it.

Abe's grandfather, Nobusuke Kishi, was a war criminal in Tojo's war cabinet. He was rescued from execution by the OSS/CIA and later became PM. Kishi/Abe clan, like many prominent families in Japan, owe their lives and fortunes to the deep state. Japanese families honor such debts.

Interesting that in 2009 Hatoyama was elected PM. He campaigned on taking power away from the bureaucracy (Japan's deep state), balancing relations with the US (no more puppet state/reduction of troops, especially in Okinawa), and seeking friendlier relations with China and SK. It was a sea change election for the old guard in Japan.

The bureaucracy came right out and told everyone that Hatoyama would not take their power. At the same time Obama snubbed him and the US media (repeated ad nausium by JP media) called him 'loopy' and basically forced him to resign.

All deep state.

The deep state has always created tension in East Asia to maintain control.

In early years (1950s), they claimned all the troops in Japan was to keep the Japanese from making war all over again. It wasn't until later, when the 7th Fleet moved from Qingdao, China to Yokosuka, Japan, that the troops were there to protect Japan (and also launch the Vietnam War)
