That is correct. I was actually around during this time. He did pay for DOS but he did steal it from the original developer. MophiaSoft has never really created anything original. They either steal technology, destroy competition, or copy other technology that is far superior. All they have really had is market share and targeted corporations. IBM was the original computer that needed a disk operating system. (DOS) CPM was actually are really elegant solution at the time. kpro andother computer companies were using it quite successfully. Mr. Gates saw the success and decided to destroy CPM. Gates has always played the role of a tech guru but he merely saw trends and purchased, stole or copied successful technology. The movie triumph of the nerds only tells part of the real story.
