I just read all the notable posts nothing else tonight, so this might be a shot in the dark but I think 666 5th avenue might be where the bodies are buried. Possibly from experiments developing RFID and NFC. Would explain why the property is so valuable, why there has been so much turnover there, the renovations, and the people involved in this property seem very capable.
