All the schools' planning to send kids home for 2 weeks is in conjunction with spring break.
At university here, if they dismissed for longer than 2 weeks, they'd have to give students refunds. They're already broke. Can't spare a dime.
The traditional university is outdated and largely unnecessary. But they're there.
On very valuable land the pays zero property taxes. The trend for almost a generation has been to grow the bureaucracy/administration beyond the orbit of Pluto.
It's these useless idiots who are now busy feathering their nests. Waiting for developers to come along and buy up derelict school buildings.
But the economy is tanking and the developers and investors aren't buying right now.
But yeah, they are merely indoctrination centers.

Most anons may not realize this, but a fantastic economy is a horror to people on fixed incomes - like us oldies.
People making bucks is great. They buy a lot more. So merchants and rental units go way up in price. That kills us, though.
For 2020, social security gave us a "raise" of 1.6%. That's beyond insulting.
Don't think POTUS gets that. Oldies who have lived in their homes for all their lives, still have rising property taxes, which precludes their ever doing an improvements because that makes the problems worse.
Most of our troubles need to be resolved on the local level. But that is where the local deep state operates. Can I live in your garage?
Senior center here may close for a couple weeks.
No problem for most, but some seniors depend on these places for their one nutritional meal a day.
