Sciencefag weighs in on transmission mechanism for COVID-19:

>I am only typing this message so that anyone reading wonโ€™t dismiss your point due to some minor discrepancies about the science of coronavirus. This is purely for education of all reading. No offense is meant in any way.

>Viruses typically need โ€œhelpโ€ in order to infect cells. In this case, the infected cells are lung cells (aka pneumocytes). Specifically, those infected are Type II pneumocytes.

>The way COVID-19 gains access is via ACE-2. ACE 2 is expressed on the membrane of the lung cell. Virus attaches at ACE 2 and then crosses membrane and goes to work.

>Everyone produces ACE 2, but a high percentage of Asians have genetics that code for higher numbers of ACE 2 so they are at a much higher risk of becoming infected.
