I live on the rez (I am non native) but I have not heard of that. I have only heard the opposite.. CPS takes their kids away. Here when a child goes missing (sometimes they wander off to play) the whole town freaks out n they get together n search until the child is found. The poverty makes a lot of alcoholics and yes there is a lot of child abuse and neglect..(20 times below the natl poverty level) but I have not heard any pedo shit as being part of the culture. I have a friend who works for head start over in ND and said one of the little girls she had in her class was terrified of going to the bathroom because the father had raped her as a toddler.. but this is not something that is talked about as if it's part of the culture (she is full blood Lakota). So.. I don't know but that doesn't ring a bell n I've lived on Navajo reservations and Lakota..family always is most important to them..when children are neglected it's because the parents can't cope with the poverty, etc but it's not done out of malice. (Some could be, yea I guess.. but I wouldn't say pedophilia is a part of their culture.) I have another friend who is a pre-school teacher. I trust him with my life and he would never harm a child. He wants to build them up because once their culture is destroyed, there will be no more tribes, they'll be blended with the rest.. and they don't want to lose their culture.
