Went grocery shopping last night at Aldi's.
We live in the country, so the store is generally quiet….usually 4-5 cars in the parking lot, esp in the evening.
Last night the store was PACKED….They even had all of the registers open! They usually have ONE open!
Not only was there no toilet paper, but there were NO PAPER TOWELS, NO BREAD, NO WATER, and frozen foods was nearly empty.
Funny thing is, spouseanon and I were bitching about it the whole time, and other people heard us and were snickering….
Even had a couple guys make jokes about TP and CV….we didn't know them.
People were not hysterical or anything….just buying their groceries just like us.
It was very odd…….It felt….weird…..like we were in the Twilight Zone…..
Almost felt like the store was hiding the needed items or something. How can they not order enough, knowing public is freaking and buying in bulk!??
Just weird. But the promising thing was, people did not seem concerned. I paid attention.
