The optics on the Sessions/Tuberville/Alabama race are as interesting as the Collins/Loeffler/Georgia race.

I suspect there's much more there than meets the eye. POTUS never does anything without a good reason, and his management style of moving people around into different roles frequently is well known.

Interested to see how things turn out in the deep south.

This is a rabbit hole with several branches that has interested me for years.

Good reading: Area 51 by Annie Jacobsen

Talks about how the Manhattan Project rolled out, how we had to invent a system for safe storage and strategic distribution for those (silos, SAC bases, more) on the fly and from complete scratch, then how an infrastructure for maintaining discrete testing and operation of our proprietary military technology. She interviews a bunch of Department of Energy retired old guys who saw it all happen. Jacobsen's "Operation Paperclip" is kind of like the followup to it. Exhaustively researched and documented, and fun reading.

Broward County! Debbie Wasserman-Schultz's district!

Any chance the 11 cases came out of her base of operation, Port Canaveral? Any of those patients carrying encrypted government-issue BlackBerries when they were were diagnosed?
