My job was sporadic by nature but had been enough to live on without a regular day job. That ceased last year, and I haven't been able to find work due to age and the gaps on my resume. And the sporadic job is shutting down until further notice.
Now an influx of thousands more looking for the same jobs I am. Unemployment currently covers my rent and about 25% of my other bills, not including groceries. Couldn't afford to move to a cheaper place if I tried.
